Home Page
The GAFRI.com home page is designed to quickly connect you with the right marketing area to meet your specific needs – whether you are an educational/non-profit professional just starting to save for retirement or someone who is ready to live out those long-awaited dreams after your retirement party next week. Click on the Education/Non-Profit or Retirement Age links on the home page to find out more.
From the home page you can also access your account information as a financial professional or policyholder and get a real-time snapshot of current market conditions.
Major Sections
GAFRI.com has been organized into five main areas of information:
- Learn About Us – explains GAFRI’s corporate structure, including our Affiliates, Investor Relations, and Ratings.
- Identify Your Needs – provides you with resources to help evaluate your current life situation and understand what investment and insurance options are available to you. You can also plan your future with our savings and retirement calculators, browse our tax resources, and learn how a financial professional can be an invaluable asset along the way.
- Find Your Solutions – presents a variety of financial solutions to meet your current needs – including annuities, IRAs (Individual Retirement Accounts), group pension plans, and long-term care, life, and supplemental insurance. There are also links to our broker/dealer and plan administration affiliates.
- Access Your Account – gives policyholders and financial professionals quick and easy access to their personal account information.
- Explore Our Careers – offers an overview of GAFRI’s work culture, benefits, and current job opportunities with the ability to apply online.
Navigation
Getting around GAFRI.com is like taking a spin around the block … there’s nothing to it! GAFRI.com’s site navigation is divided into four easy-to-use areas: the top menu bar, right side navigation, the breadcrumb, and footer links.
Top Menu Bar
By rubbing your mouse over one of the five main sections at the top of any page, a submenu of topics will appear immediately below it. This top menu bar summarizes the primary and secondary navigation areas on GAFRI.com. For the example shown below, the Learn About Us domain has eight subtopics underneath: Welcome, Affiliates, History, Leadership, News, Investor Relations, Ratings, and Integrity.
Right Side Navigation
On pages that have multiple layers of information, the right side navigation summarizes the flow of additional content. The following right side navigation is taken from the Health & Life page within the Find Your Solutions section. Health & Life topics appear first, followed by the Quick Links menu, which appears on every page to give you one-click access to key information on GAFRI.com. Additional feature boxes – like More to Explore and Educational Tools – take you to related areas of the site with cross-referenced subject matter.
Breadcrumb
Have you lost your way in the site? No problem – just rely on the breadcrumb. The breadcrumb traces the exact pathway of links (i.e., levels of content) from the page you are currently on back to the home page. All the breadcrumb links are active, so you can click on any of the pages to return to them.
In the example shown below, the Career Changes page is found within Life Stages, which is part of Identify Your Needs, one of the five major sections of content off of the home page. The breadcrumb that summarizes this path is highlighted in yellow below.
Footer Links
The links at the bottom of each page take you to the Sitemap, FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), Legal Notice, Privacy Notice, Glossary, Help, and Webmaster. The footer links are consistent on every page throughout the site.
